Short term goals

Goal 6: Track flight miles for 2022 and set reduction targets for 2023

We tracked all our flight miles for 2022, but we have come to the realization that we will not be able to set a reduction goal for 2023. Due to Covid, we weren’t able to fly as planned, and we believe that there will be more trips during 2023, than during 2022. So, instead of setting a reduction target for the upcoming year, we will instead track all flight miles as intended, and instead climate compensate for each mile spent in the air.

Goal 7: Continue to contribute to our chosen SDGS goals during 2022

We chose to focus on three SDGS goals for 2022; Gender Equality, Responsible Consumption & Production and Climate Action. Related to these goals, we developed an inclusion and action plan, we increased the percentage of sustainable materials in 11 product categories, and we relaunched two categories that are now 100% recycled. We also continued to support organizations that focus on women and LBTQ people and to sum it up; we are proud of our contribution in 2022.

Goal 8: Change to renewable electricity in all of our facilities during 2022

A total of 0,1% of our carbon dioxide emissions comes from heat based electricity. All electricity that we use come from fossile free alternatives.

Goal 9: We shall only serve vegetarian food on our events

During 2022, we held four events and at one of them a dish with seafood was served. There is no excuse for not meeting this goal, but we will make sure to only work with partners and restaurants who meet our goals and wishes.

Long term goals

Goal 10: 100% of our packaging shall be recycled/recyclable during 2023

In 2023, we will conduct an overview of all our packaging and ensure that all packaging material is either recycled or can be recycled.

Goal 11: Eliminate unnecessary plastic in our packaging during 2022

In recent years, we have examined our entire value chain and removed all unnecessary plastic materials.

Goal 12: 35% reduction of CO2 emissions on transport during 2023

When we set the targets for our emissions, they were not anchored in reality, so therefore we need to revise this goal for 2023. However, we succeeded to reduce our emissions by 10.5% in 2022 (calculated on the emission factor per product sold). This we are really proud of and are looking forward to future reductions on our emissions.

Goal 13: Reduce our scope 3 emissions with 7% from year to year by 2030

We commit to reduce our scope 3 emissions with 7% from year to year per sold product, to follow the Paris agreement target to limit global warming well below 2 degrees.

Goal 14: Use the Holdit Barometer to measure our sustainability work

We failed to implement the Holdit barometer to distributors, retailers and customers during 2022. This barometer will be a tool to measure how others view our organisation both within sustainability, diversity and equality, and we will contunue this work in 2023. The goal is to measure if all of our hard work increases any brand value.

Goal 15: Climate compensate our entire carbon emission by 2025

During 2020, 2021 and 2022 we climate compensated for all our transportations. We will continue to do so year to year and in 2025, our aim is to compensate the full emission.
